Test engineer

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer with a strong focus on API testing to join our dynamic and innovative team. As an API Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications that heavily rely on APIs. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies for API testing.

Responsibilities:

-     Understand end-to-end functionality of the product, requirements, etc., and identify test scenarios and test cases.

-    Write test cases, prepare test plans, and perform testing to verify and validate the expected behavior of the product.

-    Review defects reported by customers and internal team members, identify the impact,and severity, and assist in prioritization.

-   Perform tests, identify defects, and raise them to a defect management system. Manage the entire life cycle and ensure timely closure.

-   Document test results, review them, and help in go/no-go decisions.

-  Assume full ownership of the quality of the deliverables.

-  Review test coverage, identify any missing scenarios, inputs, etc., and ensure those are incorporated.

-  Assume full ownership of the test environments.

-  Stay up to date with the best quality practices and processes. Identify areas of improvement and strive for excellence in QA.

-  Coordinate with various groups/members and deliver results.

Requirements:

- The quality mindset with excellent communication skills.

- At least 0-2 years of experience in manual/automated testing.

- Solid understanding of quality practices and processes.

- Ability to write test cases and test plans as needed. Perform tests e.g., sanity, -test, release, regression, etc.

- Actively collaborate with product team and software engineers etc.

Nice to have:

-         Relevantexperience in the fin-tech industry.

-         Expertisewith test automation frameworks e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework, Cypress, etc.

-         Abilityto work independently.
